Coorparoo Learn to Swim
Program Levels
We have 6 levels of our learn to swim program at Coorparoo from L0 to Mini Squad. Swimmers are evaluated every 3 weeks and skills uploaded to the parent portal so you can follow their progress. Find out more about the learn to swim levels here.
Small Class Sizes
We ensure the class sizes are small to allow for maximum practice time.
For Level 0 to Level 4 - up to 4 swimmers
For Mini Squad - up to 6 swimmers
Private - 1 swimmer
Semi-Private - 2 swimmers
Year-Round Swimming
Our pool is heated, allowing us to run lessons all year round. Consistent, ongoing lessons are the key to steady progress in the water.
Timetable
Coorparoo pool offers swimming lessons after school Monday to Friday from 3.15pm to 5.15pm and Tuesday & Thursday mornings from 6.30am to 8.30am. Lesson times depend on which level you child is swimming at currently. Book an assessment so we can place your child in the correct level.
After School Care:
Camp Australia OSHC at Coorparoo State School offer walk down drop off / pick up to the pool for swimming lessons. You can make contact with them to organise this service.
Coorparoo Squads
Squad Levels:
- Development - 45mins (swim only)
- Bronze - 1hr 45mins (45mins strength training + 1 hour swim)
- Silver - 2 hr 15mins (45mins strength training + 1.5 hr swim)
- Gold - 2 hr 45mins (15mins activation + 45mins strength + 1hr 45mins swim)
Strength Program
Our strength program is for squad levels Bronze, Silver & Gold. It entails 45mins of warm up activities including stretching, team building games and land exercises to get the kids warmed-up & ready for the swim component of the session.
Skills & Drills
Our coaches run a fun, skills based program on Friday afternoons from 3.15pm to 5pm. All levels of squad are invited to attend. Program may consist of working on dives, tumble turns or a specific aspect of a stroke each week.
Timetable
At Coorparoo we offer all squad levels Monday to Thursday after school plus skills & drills on a Friday afternoon. We also run all squads on Tuesday & Thursday mornings before school and Saturday mornings. Check out each squad level page for specific days & times.
Adults
We offer an Adult squad (for swimmers looking for a coached session with others) and also Adult Learn to Swim lessons (for those who want to learn how to swim as an adult). Join us at Coorparoo for your next swim!

Learn to Swim Fees
We run a continuous swimming program throughout the year, including school holidays. We are closed on public holidays.

Squad Fees
Our squad program has evolved into a comprehensive training experience that goes beyond traditional swim lessons. It incorporates a strength program, advice from our experienced coaches at race meets, their dedicated time attending meets, and thorough preparation to enhance our swimmers' performance.
Participation in the squad system is considered to be an annual involvement; therefore the total fees for the year have been averaged out to produce the monthly amount, with the same monthly fee being payable for all 12 months of the year. This consistent monthly fee is applicable throughout all 12 months, irrespective of school holidays or training pauses, ensuring a steady monthly charge.
