Element Swimming’s squad program is the next step after completing all 7 levels of the Learn to Swim program. Our professionally trained coaches design each session to focus on stroke development, strength, technique and overall fitness.

Squad progression is assessed on an individual basis and swimmers move up at the coach’s discretion. Those who are keen to enter the next squad are encouraged to approach the coach to discuss which skills they need to work on in order to progress.

We are also affiliated with Swimming Queensland and offer swimmers the opportunity to compete at local meets as a member of Element Swimming Club. You can become a member by joining via the Swimming QLD.

Development Squad

Training Times:
3.15pm - 4.00pm (Mon - Thurs PM)
7.00am - 8.00am (Tues & Thurs AM)
8.00am to 9.00am (Sat AM)

- 45 min session (comprised of 15 mins strength and 30 min swim)
- Focus on starts, turns, push offs & lane etiquette
- Drills to aim stroke development and technique
- Introduction to the Element Swimming culture & team values.

Bronze Squad

Training Times:
3.15pm to 5.00pm (Mon - Thurs PM)
6.30am to 8.15am (Tues & Thurs AM)
7.00am to 9.00am (Sat AM)

- 1 hour 45 min session (includes optional 45 min strength training)
- Improve on skills & technique to begin competition
- Develop and strengthen freestyle, backstroke, butterfly & breaststroke.

- 2 hours 15 min session
- Includes compulsory 45 min strength training
- Refined technique and skill work to improve speed and endurance
- Aimed to be more challenging for swimmers looking to compete.

- 2 hour 15 min session
- Includes compulsory 45 min strength training
- For competitive swimmers only (requires 4 swim sessions per week)
- Race specific training sets designed to push & challenge swimmers mentally & physically.
